As a Regional Sales Manager at MushFoods, you will join and advance our journey to replace 50% of meat in meals with fungi-mycelium-based protein ingredients. Your sales development and customer acquisition expertise will help us expand our market and bring mycelium-based sustainability to its full potential. We cater to brand manufacturers, catering and fast-food chains and need a dedicated, innovative, and passionate sales manager to build the US market. As a company, we believe in the power of mycelium to revolutionize the way we think about food and sustainability. Your contributions as a Regional Sales Manager will be vital in advancing our mission to continue producing delicious and nutritious mushroom-based protein ingredients.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop new protein food ingredients from fungi mycelium.
  • Take responsibility over the production line, managing a production operator.
  • Manage the technological food ingredient development process, considering nutritional, regulatory, sensory, quality, and production requirements.
  • Identify and address potential risks, implement food safety protocols, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Optimize protein processing techniques and production methods to improve efficiency, quality, shelf life, and safety.
  • Coordinate kitchen, pilot plant, and factory trials.
  • Research and implement formulation techniques for stabilizing compounds.
  • Maintain accurate records of product formulations, process parameters, and test results.
  • Work with Chefs on new applicative products in the meat & poultry market
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of B2B sales or account management experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience selling food ingredient into the food service industry.
  • Proven record of successfully expanding sales with new and existing leads.
  • Experience with cold reach-outs.
  • Ability to take the initiative with new ideas and strategies.
  • B.A in Business or another relevant field.
Advantages:

  • B.A in food science or a related field – a big advantage.
  • Prior familiarity with the protein ingredient market.
  • Prior experience selling to the fast-food and catering industries.
